Busting Misinformation

This “fact” is going around -- Did you know no one was born on December 6, 2006?

My daughter shared it with me, forgetting that I’m not one to let things like that slide! Our experience breaking down the misinformation is here, including how we leveraged ChatGPT to understand the statistical probability.

Even if you don’t dive deep on fact checking, simply saying “That doesn’t sound right to me,” is enough to reinforce the idea of not believing everything you hear. We’re probably going to watch some Mythbusters, too. 🤓

Feeling Punny

I should have known it would be a slippery slope from ai-assisted coloring pages to ai-assisted puns. But, oh, what a fun slope it is!

Even when they cause eye rolls, all those jokes, riddles, knock knocks, and puns are an important part of child development, supporting language, critical thinking, perspective taking, and social-emotional interactions.

Fair warning, while ChatGPT will keep the jokes PG, it does generate poop jokes on demand. 💩

Q. What did one piece of toilet paper say to the other?

A. "I feel really wiped!"

Thank you for being an integral part of our community.

Blue skies,
Carla
