Year in Review Time…
Everywhere you look, there’s variations on year in review. Some are light and fluffy, others are intense and emotional. Some are kid-friendly, some make our hearts ache.

With 2024 staring us down, we did a quick year in review for Betweened for the most popular videos so far (iOS | Android). So by year in review, we really mean “6 Weeks.” But who doesn’t love a “best of” list?!
These lists are also a natural opportunity to expand your kids digital literacy skills. Some ideas for conversation:
Do a search together for year in review stories. What kinds of topics are unexpected? What themes are common?
Why would a business do year in review? How could the business benefit? What do their consumers get out of it?
What kind of criteria could be used to make selections for a year in review or top 10 story?
How could you know if the writer’s opinions align with your own
Other than the end of the calendar year, why might these stories be catchy and of interest?
And if you’re feeling extra inspired, make your own year in review.
